Canberra Dance Theatre’s 30th anniversary performance included
two distinct dance works created by Artistic Director Meg Millband – Transient Rooms and Enduring Intimacy.
Transient Rooms took place in the intimate ‘rooms’ of the Spring
and Summer gardens. It commenced in the grove of casuarinas
facing Nakaya’s Fog sculpture. During the performance, the audience strolled through the woodland, to discover both professional and community dancers responding to the environment of the intimate ‘rooms’ of the sculpture garden.
Enduring Intimacy is a collaborative dance work with professional dancers and musicians performing through projected images and
art installations. It took place in the slate forecourt of the
Winter garden alongside of Rodin’s Burghers of Calais. |
