NEW VENUE St Margarets Uniting Church Hall, Cnr Antill St and Phillip Ave, Hackett.
Fun and creative dance & movement for Mums and/or Dads and their young children. No experience required.
Beginners to advanced students wanting to drill their fundamental belly technique.
Discover the creative and cultural person within, with a fusion of earthly dance style from around the world.

- 7.40pm - 9.00pm Contemporary (Intermediate/Advanced)
An open class using stylised street funk and Hip Hop movements, similar to styles seen in music videos. No experience required.
A body conditioning system that involves floor-based exercises designed to improve flexibility and strength without building bulk. No experience required.
Builds on your existing dance experience. Reasonable understanding of contemporary techniques required.

Creative-based dance class to relax, invigorate and engage your senses and spirits. No experience required.
Align and move your body through this classic style of dance.
A chance to explore/develop choreographic/performance skills. From Term 3 this focuses on creating a dance work for our 30th birthday performance at the NGA.

- 6.00pm - 7.20pm Modern Gypsy (Open)
Flamenco, Turkish, Indian and Romani Gypsy dance with a modern edge. No experience necessary.
- Saturday
- 9.00 - 10.00am CDTeens (Ages 12-18 -- Starting 30th August 2008)
- 10.05 - 11.05am Jumping Juniors -- Special Needs Dance (Ages 5-12)
- 11.10am - 1.00pm Contact Improvisation (Open)
Energetic and creative dance for children with Special Needs and their parent/s or carer.
A play between two or more people using momentum, gravity, levity, and weight exchange.

Generally no classes are held on public holidays.
Term Dates
Each term runs for 10 weeks. The term dates for 2008 are:
Term 1: 4 February - 12 April
Term 2: 28 April - 5 July
Term 3: 21 July - 27 September
Term 4: 13 October - 20 December
Membership Fees
All participants in CDT dance classes are required to be financial Members. The membership fee is a once-off yearly payment of $15, or $10 if you start from Term 3. It should be paid no later than your third class.
On your enrolment you will be given a Membership Card. Most importantly, CDT Membership means you are covered for insurance. Other benefits include Members Newsletters each term, invitations to Members Nights, discounts to CDT events, 10% discount at Quantum Leap 2 ticketed events, and voting rights at our AGM.
Class Fees
Casual rate (per class):
Concession $16 / Full $20CDT dance card (any 10 classes):

Concession $240 / Full $290For the Parents, Tinies and Toddlers class: a special rate of $10 per class is available per family.
Dance Cards: valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, and are non refundable or transferable.
Trial offer for new students: if it is your first time at CDT, you pay for one class and may then attend any additional classes for the following 6 days at no cost. Please enquire about the offer when you arrive for your first class. Please ensure you hold onto your receipt as proof of your Trial eligibility.
Payment: when you arrive you may pay for your Dance Card, or simply pay the casual rate per class. Please bring cash or a cheque, as there are no EFTPOS facilities.
You don't need to book but be on time to get a place!
To register for your class, simply turn up around 15 minutes before it commences, and see the Class Administrator in the Office. Classes are now limited to a maximum of 25 students. This ensures everybody has enough room to have an enjoyable and safe dance experience.
Some of our classes have been very large, so we are looking into the possibility of additional classes for our most popular dance styles. So if you are number 26 or more for a class, please leave your details so we can let you know when we have any availabilities.

Please wear comfortable clothing that enables you to bend and stretch easily.
Bare feet or socks are suitable for most classes. Ballet shoes and appropriate dance shoes are recommended for the Funk Hip Hop class. Please do not wear outside shoes in the studio to ensure that the dance surface stays clean and in good condition.
